Transfer: Chelsea sign four-year contract with 19-year-old star
Chelsea have signed a four-year-deal with 19-year-old goalkeeper, Jamie Cumming.
Cumming signed the new deal on Wednesday after agreeing on personal terms with the club.
The England youngster will remain at Stamford Bridge until at least 2023.
“It’s brilliant news, a very proud moment for me and my family,” Cumming told Chelsea’s official website after putting pen to paper at Cobham.
“I’ve been here since the age of eight so to sign a new contract that keeps me here until I’m 23 is a great achievement. I’m now really looking forward to the new season,” he said.
“The teenager has been at the club since the age of eight and featured in both Dublin friendlies as well as our most recent outing away at Reading. After being confirmed as our third-choice keeper for the coming campaign, he has now committed himself to the Blues until at least 2023.”

Impressive!!! The Super Eagles wins the Fight for 3rd Place
Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo netted the only goal as Nigeria ran away with a 1-0 win against Tunisia in the third-place match at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 30-year-old forward, who is now the tournament’s top scorer with five goals, was gifted an easy tap-in following a Tunisian defensive mix-up at the Al Salam Stadium.
Jamilu Collins’ cross from the left was poorly parried by goalkeeper Moez Ben Cherifa against the legs of defender Yassine Meriah.
The defender tried to stop it from going over the line before Ighalo pounced to give Nigeria a third minute lead.
